Pipeline (2020) Review

After moving into a new home, a family discovers the house is occupied by a bloodthirsty monster that lives in the walls and pipes, dragging in all who get too close. Now trapped inside, the family must do whatever they can to survive as the murderous beast lures in new victims.

Written and directed by Emily Aguilar this ‘beastie-lurking-in-the-pipework’ shocker starts off well but soon runs out of juice. Aside from the inspired sound design and monster point-of-view camerawork invention is lacking and there’s nothing here that you wouldn’t have seen a dozen times before. PIPELINE is amiable and earnestly played but story-wise it remains at one note throughout and there’s only so many lifeless dialogue scenes that one can sit through.
