Three Blind Mice (2023) Review

Abi is going cold turkey; her family has taken her to a cabin in the woods so she can be away from the city and all her troubles. However, little do they know, The Three Blind Mice is more than just a fairy tale, and they may be next up on the menu.

With director Pierre B’s THREE BLIND MICE releasing so closely to another nursery rhyme-turned horror film – MARY HAD A LITTLE LAMB – there’s the potential for overkill, however out of the two this proves to be the more satisfying.

Admittedly the blind mice themselves look like dodgy monsters from Tom Baker’s era as DOCTOR WHO but so what! The game cast give it 110%, the look of the film feels right and the occasional tilted camera-angle, deliciously gory killings (check out that head squishing scene courtesy of a mutant rodent’s booted foot) and short running time make up for a sound-mix which plays a rough at the film’s start and deliver a treat ripe for Halloween viewing.
