Wolf Garden (2023) Review
Written and directed by Wayne David, WOLF GARDEN tells the blood-curdling
story of William (Wayne David, Containment), a young man who disappears upon
experiencing haunting visions of the woman he loves and a mysterious creature in
the nearby woods. You can’t escape fear.
WOLF GARDEN is a handsomely mounted British-based genre flick with a
measured pace that may test the patience for some. In trying not to play its
hand too quickly the narrative becomes muddled, repetitive and protracted and
as much as Wayne David tries not to give too much away, I imagine that the
chances are that most of you will figure it all out where WOLF GARDEN is
heading all too quickly.
WOLF GARDEN would have played better at a third of the ninety-minute runtime,
making it tighter and pack more of a punch for those that may not suss where
this is heading.
