In a dungeon, five people struggle for their survival: three women, a theologian, and a young doctor. Outside this hideout reigns the APOCALYPSE. The Evil has been generated by a patient zero, and a group of former soldiers, The Exterminators, crucify any person they meet to find the source of this evil.

CRUCIFIED (AKA as EVERYBLOODY’S END) has a rather unique punchline but what it doesn’t have is a coherent structure leading up to it. In fact for much of the time I wondered what on earth was going on simply because the creators of this muddle were evidently so keen not to play the only ace card they had that we end up with a sequence of events that initially involve different women being chased or under the allusion of being chased.

Admittedly director Claudio Lattanzi does try to mix things up a bit, like, you know, by following up a drab scene of a woman running during the day by having an equally dismal scene where another woman is being chased but this time at night. It feels like you’ve jumped into the middle of a story, albeit a rather minimal story, that doesn’t quite know what else to do outside of revealing it’s climactic big twist. The whole thing rides on a sense of misplaced urgency without really stopping to explain why. For the most part it’s messy although on the plus side the camerawork is really good.
