Bridge of the Doomed (2022) Review

A group of soldiers are ordered to hold a bridge during a zombie outbreak, but what lives underneath the bridge, proves to be even more deadly.

BRIDGE OF THE DOOMED starts off with a bang, placing the viewer right in the middle of some very welcome gory zombie mayhem. This is refreshing as often such flicks, unless they are sequels, tend to start before any zombie outbreak has occurred.

It starts off fast and furious, affording the viewer little in the way of breathing space, before floundering with dialogue scenes that drag the pacing down to a standing point that it never fully recovers from.

The zombies are convincing, the gore is terrific and, for the most part, there’s an incredible amount of action with everything onscreen happening very quickly. Overall, there’s a lot happening but nothing that ever fully engages the viewer leaving it as a spectacle in need of a hook.
