From the producers of A QUIET PLACE and THE PURGE comes a sci-fi thriller where you don’t go down without a fight. The world has changed. The only habitable place left for humanity is in the high mountains, above 8,000 feet. Below 8,000 feet dwell the creatures that killed 95% of the human population less than three years ago.

To save the life of his young son, a father is forced to venture below “The Line” with a scientist he despises, but who just might hold the key to defeating the monsters, and a young woman determined to keep them both alive long enough to save the human race.

Starring Anthony Mackie (CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER), Morena Baccarin (DEADPOOL), Maddie Hasson (GOD BLESS AMERICA) and Danny Boyd Jr. (WATCHMEN), ELEVATION is written by John Glenn (EAGLE EYE), Jacob Roman (SEAL TEAM) and Kenny Ryan (SEAL TEAM) and is directed by George Nolfi (THE ADJUSTMENT BUREAU).

ELEVATION wastes next to no time establishing the basic set-up before throwing the audience and its main triage of characters into fraught situations and non-stop action, it’s monster movie nirvana and pure escapism at its near best!

This modestly budgeted American post-apocalyptic action thriller film is perfect for an undemanding evening’s entertainment. ELEVATION is a well-made B-movie that doesn’t outstay its welcome. It has a solid lead in Anthony Mackie, the scenery is exquisite and whilst it’s not exactly breaking new ground, it does what it does very well, and it kept me very entertained for the entirety of its 90-minute runtime.
