Vertigo Releasing is excited to announce their upcoming release of British filmmaking legend Alan Clarke’s (MADE IN BRITAIN) 1979 film SCUM, which stars an incredible ensemble of British icons including Ray Winstone, Mick Ford, John Blundell, Phil Daniels, and Julian Firth.
Back on digital platforms in the UK, SCUM is Alan Clarke’s controversial, powerful film version of Roy Minton’s play that was banned by the BBC from being seen by the British public for 14 years. The film focuses on the violent, brutal events that take place in a 1970s government borstal – a correction centre for juvenile offenders – and what it takes for two boys to survive in this nightmare world.
The film will be released in the UK and Ireland on major digital platforms on 17th March through Vertigo Releasing.
