Healing Towers (2025) Review

A detective’s search for his missing daughter uncovers a horrifying link to a twisted psychiatrist’s dream therapy treatment, where deranged patients are forced to enact their darkest fantasies on innocent victims.

HEALING TOWERS, written and directed by Shuja Paul, is a lower budget flick which leans towards being very mean and very nasty but does not make the leap into being a full-on trashy exploitation flick. Occasionally violent – check out that eye removal scene – and sometimes laugh-out loud funny too, if unintentionally, its not a great film but when I was reviewing it HEALING TOWERS suited my sensibility at the time.

I liked the idea – where a psychiatrist hires people to ‘act’ as the focus of his patient’s torment – but had to question why said people did not twig that they were about to be harmed/murdered and even when they did why they chose to play the victim and not run away or put up a fight. If you’re in the mood for a low-budget, slightly mean and trashy, nonsensical flick then this will fit the bill for you perfectly.
